UNIX Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the administration and operation of ALL Unix based servers related to product, application and databases system
• Resolve problem tickets generated
• Implement service requests as generated e.g. O/S upgrade, IP changes, group access, etc.
• Able to work independently with vendor representatives as needed to resolve questions or problems
• Writing technical documentation as required


Requirements:

• Recognized Degree/ Higher Diploma/ Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent qualification
• Those without equivalent qualification but with experience can be considered
• Min 2-3 years experience in supporting UNIX Systems.
• Proficiency with most aspects of UNIX (any UNIX flavour) system administration
• Good understanding of a UNIX-based operating system
