Harakah, the premier Pakatan Rakyat newspaper is now hiring. We have vacancies for:-
1. Cadet Journalist (English Section)
Requirements:-
a. Age 20 - 30ish
b. Good in English language, minimum grade A for English at SPM level.
c. Tertiary education not a prerequisite. Drive is. One of our best journalists is only SPM and A-Level qualified.
d. IT literate (MS Word and email).
e. Willing to learn and work longer than usual hours.
f. Expect outstation trips, perhaps once or twice a month.
2. Junior graphic artist
Requirements:-
a. Age 20 - 30ish
b. Capable at in at least two of these applications, namely Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator. The more the merrier.
c. Minimum SPM.

For the post of Cadet Journalist, please include a one page essay entitled "Why I must be employed by Harakah" with your application. Dont' worry, you won't be asked cover only politics. The new Harakah will be needing articles for example on human rights, environment, health, sports, women issues, law, economics and the like. Anyone interested in writing on any of the above issues as a freelancer may also send their resume to me.
For Junior Graphic Artist applicants, do send us a sample of how you can improve Harakah's masthead (The colour must be maintained though).
