Test Analyst Kuala Lumpur - Bangsar South Background: Roles and Responsibilities: •The person would be expected to read CR specifications and draw up test cases to test the new functionality, execute test cases, prepare installation guide, install and configure the changes into the testing environment, weed out any faults/ bugs in the application and help the development teams with diagnosis of application faults. •The role requires extensive interaction with client project teams over the phone / email •This role reports to the Integration team lead, who is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of testing and testing support services. •In this role, the Test Support engineer will work on customer projects through Testing phase so that they get delivered on time and with no defects. •We are looking for technically inclined resource though they may not have or require deep technical experience Experience and Qualification: •Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline •Working experience between 2 to 4 years in IT Application area with some background in software development/ testing/ maintenance •Experience in supporting Cards and Payment solutions and experience with mission critical transaction systems would be nice to have Technical Skills: •Understanding/overview of testing principles and methods •SQL queries, basic ((jobs, selects/inserts/deletes/updates) •SQL statements tuning preferably around Microsoft SQL server •Knowledge of VB scripting and HTML will be advantageous •Basic knowledge of windows (events, logs etc) •General technical skills and understanding in network config, ports, around •Understanding of configuration management (Releases, Change Implementation Plans, responsibilities and approvals, promotion through various testing stages to production, rollback plans, ...) •Understanding/overview of development, testing and deployment life cycle •Understanding/ overview of cards payment systems, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) industry Soft skills •Highly motivated team player and eager to learn new technologies/ application •Good communication and interpersonal skills. •Commitment to delivery, flexible and worked in a multinational environment. •Strong analytical / trouble shooting skills •Customer focussed and understands client needs •Reliable and able to work independently •Good command over English (written and spoken) Cheers, Rena Soosai joblessinmalaysia@gmail.com 018-2890607
